$2,653 Goal

At Mississippi Spay and Neuter (MS-SPAN), we know that the only way to end pet overpopulation is through prevention. Spay and neuter is a simple and safe way to stop unwanted litters of puppies and kittens.

Mississippi is the poorest state in the nation and countless families struggle just to meet their basic human needs. Unfortunately, many families do not have the resources to have their cats and dogs sterilized, even though they love them dearly. This often leads to unplanned litters of puppies and kittens and the heart-wrenching choice to surrender them to a shelter. With the onset of COVID-19, families are facing additional barriers to accessing the services they need.

We have always provided spay and neuter surgeries to any pet owner who walks through our doors, regardless of their ability to pay.

Since our inception in 2005, our clinic has helped more than 90,000 dogs and cats. The increase in the number of sterilized dogs and cats in our area has resulted in a dramatic reduction in the number of homeless animals entering Mississippi Animal Rescue League (MARL), the largest shelter in our state.

Please help us save animal lives by keeping spay/neuter services affordable and accessible to all.  Our goal is to raise $2,653- enough to subsidize spay or neuter surgeries for 100 cats or dogs. You can help by starting a team, donating and sharing!
